# Privacy Policy

How the GSC Pulse website and Chrome extension handle data.

**Summary:** Search Console performance data is requested directly from Google APIs by the extension and is not sent to a GSC Pulse server. The website uses Google Analytics 4 for website usage measurement with Consent Mode; analytics storage is denied by default until a visitor accepts.

## Scope

This policy covers the GSC Pulse Chrome extension and the website at gscpulse.behlul.com.

## Data processed by the extension

- Search Console property identifiers and permission level
- Clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, dates, pages, queries, query-page pairs, devices, countries, and [Search Appearance](/glossary/search-appearance/) rows
- Sitemap status, issue counts, type, submitted URL counts, and timing fields
- Locally created tags, favorites, settings, language, privacy preference, annotations, and scan cache

## Google authentication

The extension uses Chrome Identity and the read-only `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly` scope. OAuth tokens are managed by Chrome. GSC Pulse does not request permission to edit Search Console data.

## Where data is stored

Selected properties, settings, notes, and cached scans are stored in `chrome.storage.local`. They remain on the user's device unless the user exports or sends information voluntarily.

## Server transfer

The extension does not send Search Console performance data to a GSC Pulse application server. API calls go to Google endpoints required for the product's single purpose.

## Website data

The website is delivered as static files and uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6TDT1GT2ZB) to understand aggregate website usage. Google Consent Mode is configured with analytics storage denied by default. If a visitor accepts analytics, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and process device/browser and on-site activity data. If analytics is declined, Analytics cookies are not set or read; Google may still receive consent-aware cookieless measurement signals. GSC Pulse does not enable advertising personalization or remarketing. Standard infrastructure logs may also be processed by the hosting and security provider for delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention.

## Support email

If you email support, the message and attachments you choose to send are processed to respond to the request. Do not send sensitive exports unless a specific example is necessary and you consent.

## Sharing and sale

GSC Pulse does not sell user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer Search Console data to data brokers.

## Retention and deletion

Local extension data remains until the user clears it or uninstalls the extension. Google access can be disconnected in the extension and revoked from the Google account. Support email is retained only as reasonably necessary for support, security, and legal obligations.

## Children

GSC Pulse is a professional SEO tool and is not directed to children.

## Changes

Material changes will be published on this page and in the changelog before new collection begins where required.
