# Search Console Sitemap Diagnostics: API Limits

An honest sitemap tool separates confirmed fields from guessed causes.

Updated: 6 Aug 2026·Behlül Göktepe

## What the API gives

Path, submission and download times, pending state, sitemap-index flag, type, warning count, error count, and submitted content counts.

## What it does not give

Not every detailed issue label, sample URL, or full native explanation. The historical indexed count field is deprecated.

## A safe diagnosis model

1. Show confirmed fields exactly.
2. Label possible causes as checks.
3. Provide safe repair steps.
4. Open native GSC for exact detail.
